She recently released her her fourth book, “Light as the Day, Dark as the Night" is a children's book that promotes the beauty of diversity.

1. What inspired you to write a children's book?

My mother retired as an educator and I saw how she loved to teach and inspire children. She would teach her students to be kind to each other and to embrace their differences. I am aware the magnitude positive imagery can have on the minds of children. I wanted to create a book that would be fun to read but would also make the child aware or would remind the child that they are beautiful in their own way and that all God’s children are special.

2. If you could tell yourself one affirmation as a kid, what would it be?

Don't depend on others to determine to you what holds value; if it's important to you, it's important.

3. What's next for you as an author?

I plan on doing a book tour to spread the word about the children's book.
